This frame from Viva La Vida includes the motion rig and the mirror that were made yesterday. The rig is underneath the set, allowing it to move. A larger copy is available here.

Are over! All the studying, preparing, and thinking is done! High school exams for semester 1 are finished, so now, I won't have any schoolwork (until Monday, that is). In the meantime, enjoy this LEGO guitar poster based on Jonny Buckland's real VIVA guitar! Keep an eye on Viva La Blog (in the sidebar) for updates!

The Archives are open

At the old site, there would be 10 blog posts, and the 11th would be removed forever. There was no way to access these past posts, but today, I have opened up the Archives. So far, only December 2009 is catalogued, but January (and all the other months) will be added in time. You can find the Archives in the sidebar.

Meet Kazoo- FLIP

I've always wanted to follow up on the Meet Ethan flip. During a quick scene switch in Viva La Vida, I setup a baseplate and begun animating this short "test film". Enjoy this "flipping" amazing (haha) Kazoo short!

The sidebar blog has returned! Viva La Blog was available during the summer of 2009, and was discontinued in the fall. Now that the film is starting back up again, the small timekeeper and updater will tell you all of the latest news from the music video.

Planet Earth- Teaser poster

To give you all an idea of what the CG Earth actually looks like, I've rendered another copy of the digital planet, this time, with a few titles to make it look like a film poster. It's supposed to be simple, and not reveal much. Enjoy! Teaser Poster

Planet Earth- Blender Version

That's right! After a lot of work, I have finished the CG model of the Lego Earth, and successfully rendered a 16 second animation with it. I used Blender to animate the earth, it's a free CG program that is very powerful. The blog image to the left shows a glimpse of a single frame from the animation, once I get a new trailer up for VIVA I will be sure to add a second of this or two.

Planet Earth- CAD Version

I am currently working on a LeoCAD version of the earth, which will be used for Viva La Vida. Making a sphere is harder than I thought, but I have some pictures and grids for reference. See 1/3 of it here.
